This position goes beyond the traditional inspection duties and is very much a hands-on position as part of the paint department, it combines attention to detail while performing inspections, along with dexterity while performing the related manual labor tasks.
**Responsibilities & Duties**:
- Inspect forms for bad or missing weld, proper part placement and dimensional accuracy.
- Check forms for straightness and evaluate face sheet quality.
- Check forms for proper grinding, paint finish and cleanliness.
- Stretch round column forms as needed.
- Operate bulldozer to straighten forms as needed.
- Prep forms for painting as needed.
- Identify form with proper stencils and EFCO labels.
- Keep daily record of the day's production, rework and scrap.
- Replace stencils as needed.
- Record labor on work order and timecard accurately.
- Perform Quality Audit process.
- Keep foreman informed of trends in quality problems that develop.
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Perform other task as assigned by supervision.
- Clean work area daily.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
**Machines, Tools, and equipment used**:
Successful applicant will also use the following tools and equipment to complete their assigned tasks: tape measure, square, shop drawings, EFCO labels, ink rollers, straight edge, column form stretcher, bulldozer, grinders, stencil machine, stencils, work order cards, material handling equipment, banding equipment, and others as assigned.
**Education & Skill Requirements**:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read shop drawings and follow work order instructions.
- Ability to read both metric & imperial dimensions accurately on tape
