At DBM we make plastic injection of optical components dedicated to automotive headlights. We manufacture both the molds that will be used for plastic injection and the parts themselves.

We have approximately 300 employees working in 4 plants all located in close proximity to each other in Laval.

**Your main responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the Service Manager, production, the inspector-packer acts as the first level of quality control. His/her main responsibilitie is to examine the parts produced and sort them according to pre-established quality criteria.
- Read the work instructions and "quality" alerts and ensure their understanding;
- Inspect and sort products according to DBM’s quality criteria;
- Use specialized instruments and tools such as gauges, go/nogo, wire cutters and templates;
- Enter data into the DBM’s Management System (IQMS);
- Qualify and quantify non-compliant parts (rejected);
- Prepare and pack products according to the work instructions;
- Make Visual Dual inspection of parts;
- Notify the supervisor of problems or potentially dangerous situations related to Health and Safety;
- Ensure the cleanliness of the work area;
- Perform other related tasks required by the position.

**Your background and strengths**:

- High school diploma;
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (an asset);
- Demonstrate close visual acuity;
- Ability to communicate, understand and read in French;
- Comfortable to work in both sitting and standing position;
- Have good manual and digital dexterity;
- Have the physical strength to lift loads of a maximum acceptable value of 15 kg;
- Be diligent and punctual;
- Detailed orientated in visual observations.
