Safety and Compliance Coordinator

**Job Summary**
The Safety and Compliance coordinator’s scope of work directly supports the overall safety standards and compliance within the organization. As a key contractor of the organization, the Safety and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for promoting and establishing a safety-first culture, while ensuring the organization is compliant with current regulatory requirements.
In order to succeed in this scope of work, the Safety and Compliance Coordinator must focus on adhere to the organization guidelines and policies, ensuring compliance with applicable MTO & DOT regulations.
**Job Responsibilties**
- Monitoring vehicle compliance of company’s safety and policy procedures
- Management of driver safety
- Administrative support to various departments within the organization
- Ensuring compliance with applicable MTO & DOT regulations
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, provincial, and US laws and MTO & DOT regulations
- Adhering to and enforcing the policies and procedures of the organization
- Assisting with onboarding and Drivers’ training and orientation
- Overseeing the maintenance of all the trucks and trailers as per company
- Open and proactive communication when coordinating with dispatch and providing updates on schedules, route and road conditions and/or passenger issues that may arise
- Manage and supervise all company vehicles have all related documents, authorities, permits, and plates and are updated and accurate
- Analyze and generate reports as needed
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure safety and delivery success
- Following C-TPAT and PIP
- You may be asked to complete tasks or assist with duties not listed on this job description
**Skills & Qualifications**
- Knowledge of MTO and DOT regulations
- Excellent Verbal & Written Communication
- Knowledge of Federal, Provincial & US laws
- Intermediate Knowledge of Word / Excel / Powerpoint
- Organization & Time Management
- Positive Attitude
Pay: $36,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
