Cornerstone Christian Community Church is a non-profit, Christian organization. The Church operates a community centre-style facility that is open 7 days per week and serves the community whether through church on Sundays or other events and programs throughout the week. You have a personal relationship with Jesus, a heart for worship and love the church. You get excited at the idea of developing leaders and ensuring everything is in place for their success. You bring a keen eye for detail, are organized and creative. Your resourcefulness and ability to plan and execute projects and initiatives are some of your main strengths.
The worship ministry shapes and carries out all Sunday worship services with the goal of pointing people to Jesus through the various expressions of the worship experience, including music, liturgy, communion, giving, prayer ministry and baptism. We are also responsible for all technical and A/V aspects of the service and plan special services and worship spaces outside of Sunday service. If Jesus is remembered most at the end of our worship gathering, we will have accomplished the goal.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
Working under the direction of the Worship Director, your primary responsibilities include:
- Assist in the day to day planning and operational aspects of the ministry
- Assist in scheduling, corresponding with, recruiting, vetting, developing, and shepherding those who serve
- Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing special worship elements as needed (scripture readers, liturgical or musical elements, baptism coordination etc)
- Assist in developing/planning of Sunday morning worship services, as needed
- Scheduling, ordering of supplies and materials, managing lists and assisting with documentation and workflow
- Assist in the maintenance of Planning Center resources (song charts, teaching or rehearsal resources)
- Assist in creating appropriate and tasteful aesthetics for staging and Sunday morning worship environment
- Assist in the creative planning, logistics and execution of special services and worship gatherings and retreats
- Assist with communication and logistics for other teams and ministry areas under the Worship Ministry umbrella
- Assist in sourcing training and development materials/opportunities
**Qualifications**:
- Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience in leading and working with volunteer teams of various ages and skill level with clarity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with Planning Center
- Approachable personality, trustworthy, and ability to perform under the highest ethical standards
- Valid driver’s license w/access to a car required
**A Strong Asset**:
- Musical ability and/or experience worship planning/leading
- Experience with Ableton Live
- Experience with A/V, lighting and/or stage/set design
**Other Details**:
- Part-time, 20 hrs/wk
- Drivers license w/access to car required
- Hybrid work - remote and in person needed
- Attendance for some Sunday services required. When scheduled - must be there for all services
