We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our Team in the position of Metal Fabricator, on the day shift, at our main facility in Courtland. In this position, the incumbent will be responsible for accurately cutting and shaping steel of varying shapes and sizes into quality products, following specific methods, using a variety of mechanical equipment (band saws, drill presses, CNC brake press, CNC laser cutter).

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Set up, adjust and operate mechanical equipment used to cut and shape metal safely and accurately to produce a variety of production parts
- Use the internal software programs to view work orders and prints
- Accurately read, interpret and follow instructions on blueprints
- Use measurement tools to ensure the accuracy of the size and angle (tape measure, Vernier scale, protractor, combo square)
- Perform quality checks as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned

Key Skills and Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma, or equivalent
- 1-2 years metal fabrication experience
- Experience operating CNC brake press and laser cutters is a definite asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use hand tools and simple power tools
- Forklift and overhead crane certification, or the ability to achieve certification
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds
- Reliable transportation required
- Willingness to work overtime or adjusted hours as required

Work Conditions
- Exposure to potentially hazardous environments (examples include dust, chemicals, noise) requiring protective equipment
- Exposure to uncomfortable work settings; may have long combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting
- Exposure to different weather conditions, from time to time
- Repetitive tasks within a fast paced work environment
