The Facility Security Coordinator (FSC) ensures regulatory compliance is maintained with all applicable laws and regulations in accordance with the Aviation Security legislation and UPS Local Operating Plan (LOP) standards. This position is also responsible for ensuring the daily operational quality of the facility’s screening process, overseeing chain of custody controls, maintaining documentation to prove compliance, and conducting self-assessments at the site.

- Shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM midnight (approx.)

**Job Duties**:
**General activities will include**:

- Taking part in and verifying daily equipment inspections
- Maintain daily checklists and end of day reports
- Ensure a smooth-running operation and meeting tight and critical deadlines
- Ensure the site is compliant for authority inspections without major findings
- Participates in site inspections performed by appropriate authority to support the regulatory inspection process.
- Effective communication and collaboration between aviation security and local operations teams
- Safeguarding the air cargo network
- Escalating quality and process issues to ensure they are handled appropriately
- Monitoring general work areas
- Regular online and in person continuous training
- Maintains all Sensitive Security Information (SSI) controls for aviation security materials to ensure confidentiality of documents and procedures.

**Executes UPS Aviation Security Local Operating Plan (LOP)**
- Understands and executes site Local Operating Plan (LOP) to ensure proper procedures are followed.
- Implements LOP change memos and advisory circulars to ensure compliance with latest developments.
- Maintains all requirements for aviation security document retention to ensure record retention compliance.
- Maintains compliance manuals and facilitates trainings to include latest developments in legal requirements.

**Executes Quality Assurance**
- Carries responsibility for implementation of quality assurance controls to ensure compliance.
- Monitors the implementation and adherence to corrective action plans to ensure findings are mitigated.
- Encourages cross-functional involvement to ensure collaboration across departments.
- Conducts self-assessments to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Motivates colleagues to ensure aviation security standards are maintained in the operation.
- Takes accountability for local aviation security balanced scorecard elements to measure effectiveness of controls.

**Qualifications**:

- Professional interest in safety and security
- The ability to successfully pass security checks, e.g., background, criminal records which includes an extended 5-year background check
- Good judgement, decision making and good communication skills
- Diligence and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
