- **Please note that this is a 14 month contract role to cover for a maternity leave. However, there is a possibility of a permanent role at the end of the contract. **_
- **Duties & Responsibilities**_
- Preparation of month-end reports including the OMP reports, Service Group reports, and Financial reports;
- Financial statement variance analysis;
- Maintenance of the general ledger;
- Preparation of monthly contractor payouts;
- Preparation of various trust audit reports;
- Preparation of year end working papers, including tax working papers;
- Preparation of monthly referral reports;
- Assisting in budget preparation and account analyses;
- Assisting and supporting senior finance team members with special projects and initiatives;
- Responsible for coordinating tasks with members of the department to ensure deadlines are met;
- Analyzing and evaluating potential changes to processes and procedures to increase efficiency within the department;
- Assisting in the implementation of approved changes to department processes;
- Responding to queries and ad hoc requests from assistants, DLA USA, and DLA Int’l offices;
- Reviewing and approving trust disbursements and A/P cheques;
- Preparation of bank reconciliations during staff vacation/leave;
- Maintaining accurate records with the bank, including updating partners signatures;
- Supervision of accounting staff; and
- Other duties as required.

- **Knowledge, Qualities & Experience Required**_
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role preferred;
- Close to completion or recent completion of a professional accounting designation;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills required;
- Strong MS Office (Excel) skills and experience with accounting programs required;
- Dedicated to providing quality service to clients and consistently meeting expectations by providing service beyond expectation;
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while relating to a diverse group of individuals;
- Strong ability to manage multiple internal clients and remain productive within a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment;
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities required;
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize and deliver creative solutions;
- Ability to multitask, establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under mínimal supervision; and
- Working knowledge or experience with SQL is a plus.
