The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the functions as they relate to course and program communications and marketing, liaising with CCE’s central Marketing and Communications Unit (MCU). The incumbent will be a member of the Administrative Team in Flexible Learning.

The incumbent plays a key role in Flexible Learning’s (FL) delivery and promotion of approximately 30,000 enrollments annually. Courses/Programs are offered via various modes such as online, LIVE streamed, face-to-face on and off-campus (Regional College), UREarly, and Evenings.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Liaising with FL Program Manager, program coordinators/advisors of regional colleges, faculty members, instructional designers, and instructors to ensure the smooth delivery of courses/programs off campus via flexible modes
- Coordinate High School Accelerated communications
- Serving as a point of contact for instructors and students for issues arising in the delivery of online, LIVE- streamed and off-campus courses
- Serving as the initial point of contact in troubleshooting course and technical difficulties for online and managing issues that arise in the delivery of courses to off-campus students
- Supervising, coordinating and monitoring student electronic communications
- Providing referrals for issues such as student support needs, advising issues, registration
- Coordinating the unit’s marketing initiatives and liaising with CCE’s MCU
- Supervising a Coop student
- Coordinating student testimonials
- Maintaining Flexible Learning’s marketing budget
- Creating and updating marketing and recruitment materials through coordination with CCE’s MCU
- Assisting with the administration, interpretation, and communication of student surveys
- Representing the Division on related committees
- Attending, participating and creating presentations to engage students in courses and programs delivered by Flexible Learning
- Setting up, updating and maintaining social media tools, such as Instagram, for Flexible Learning
- Updating, maintaining and auditing content of the Flexible Learning website
- Ensuring compliance with University policies

Some travel is required: 6-10 events a year.

Occasional weekend and evening work.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Preference will be given to those that have experience in communications.
- A minimum of 4 years’ related experience in an academic environment, with knowledge of University processes, procedures, policies and organization.
- Experience and knowledge of communication practices and recruitment is necessary.
- Experience presenting recruitment materials as well as experience in the creation of marketing and communication materials.
- Some travel (6-10 events) within Saskatchewan required, so must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Some weekend and evening work is required.
- Must have an understanding of:

- Continuing Education and its place within the University. Distance/distributed education within the province, via the provincial Regional Colleges’ system. Flexible delivery in multiple modes, using a revenue-generating model. University students of various ages and their needs.
- Budgeting experience is required.
- Experience in URCourse (Moodle), technical troubleshooting, web development, Banner, Cascade, Caspur Reports, and Microsoft Office. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Events planning and project management experience.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with strong attention to detail is required, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide and diverse range of people, students, and constituencies.
- Ability to engage in critical thinking and analysis.
- Ability to be self-directed able to multi-task.
- Supervisor experience is an asset.

Physical Demands Pay Grade APT 4 Salary Range $61,375 to $82,823 Annually Status Permanent Work Hours

8:15 am - 4:30 pm with some evening and weekend work required.
