**About the Role**
The Compensation Coordinator’s key responsibilities include payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, disability management, HRIS Management and assisting with daily administrative duties.
Please note: the role will be based at RSL’s headquarters in South Burnaby and will report to the Manager, People and Culture. In this role, the incumbent will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
**_ Duties and Responsibilities _**
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all employees for payroll, benefits and UKG Management.
- Maintain a high level of visibility, accessibility and interaction with all managers and employees at all locations.
- Participate and engage in special project teams as requested.
- Provide administrative support for People & Culture programs that support the entire employee lifecycle, compensation programs, benefits administration, recruitment, etc.
- Create, maintain, and report on statistics and analytics.
- Be a positive and constructive influence in a rapidly changing and complex work environment.
- Maintain electronic personnel files.
- Other reasonable duties and projects may be required from time to time.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Payroll
- A suitable alternate combination of education and experience may also be considered
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in payroll and recruitment.
- Experience using HR management information systems or UKG
- Previous experience in a privately held or family-owned business would be an asset
- Advanced communication skills with excellent listening, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivated team player with high energy and ability to work independently
- An ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and keep the information confidential is critical to this position.
