**About the Role**

Reporting to the HR and LR Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for both general Human Resources and Labour Relations functions within the scope of employee relations, disability management, investigations, ADP administration, general day-to-day employee assistance, and a variety of projects.

This position is full time out of our offices, located at head office in Markham, ON. TEAM Group offers a hybrid work model, three days in office and two work-from-home days.

**Pay**
- $85,000-$95,000 per year.

**Schedule**
- 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement new employee policies and standards, ensuring compliance with HR best practices;
- Determine eligibility to statutory leaves and benefits, such as short term and long-term disability;
- Provide guidance and education to management, employees, and union representatives on sick leave and claims processes, including short-term sick leave, LTD and accommodations;
- Maintain an accurate database of medically verified employee absences, including detailed records and documentation of communication actions taken on claims;
- Assist with employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary action, and terminations;
- Draft correspondence, documents, and reports related to employee matters;
- Disability management and return-to-work programs for all non
- occupational injuries or illnesses;
- Lead and facilitate workplace investigations that have varying levels of difficulty and sensitivity, related to themes of code of conduct, performance management and harassment/workplace violence;
- Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices;
- Collaborate with site management to maintain a harmonious workplace environment;
- Manage and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge and promote career growth;
- Enter and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information, including new hires, salary changes, benefit changes, and other relevant employment updates, into the HRIS systems;
- Additional duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- 7+ years of relevant HR experience within a Human Resources department;
- Minimum 5 years in an HR Generalist capacity;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ADP Workforce Now;
- Exposure to working with management client groups will be considered an asset;
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources is required;
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality;
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and conflict resolution skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- A CHRP designation is preferred;
- Willingness to commute to the Markham, ON headquarters on occasion.
