- As the Manager of Issues and Opportunities, you will be responsible for delivering on the goals of the Issues and Opportunities Program. You will promote the integration of an issue prevention and awareness mindset in the day-to-day practices of departments and business units. Primary duties include:
- Provide strategic advice to the Chief Administrative Officer, utilizing expertise in risk mitigation, helping to develop a corporate position.
- Provide strategic counsel and support to department and business unit level management teams.
- Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, which includes skill development/training, coaching and performance management.
- Leverage the team's skills and cross-corporate relationships to investigate, resolve/mitigate corporate issues, and identify opportunities.
- Advance cultural change across the Corporation, assuring understanding and awareness of the benefits and goals of the Issues and Opportunities Program.
- Oversee the development, improvement, implementation and sustainment of the Issues and Opportunities Program through the development of products and tools (eLearning).
- Foster and facilitate education and training for City leaders and key staff.
- Provide leadership to City employees and project teams.
**Qualifications**
- A master's degree preferably in Business Administration, Commerce, Public Administration, Law or Communications and at least 8 years experience with Issues Management.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- You are an effective communicator and leader with a commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and demonstrated business and political acumen.

- Compensation: Level F $94,168 - 144,228 per annum
- Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
