Security Systems Technician

This person must be mature, reliable and punctual. We work in both residential and commercial spaces but we focus on commercial.

**Responsibilities**:

- Security system installation, servicing and troubleshooting including alarm systems, CCTV, access control, intercoms and ULC Fire communicators
- Reviewing work orders and job details along with equipment preparation
- Performing site surveys and planning best locations of devices
- Maintaining installation notes and records
- Maintaining friendly relationship with end user contacts
- Basic maintenance of company vehicles ( filing tire air, checking oil, etc. )
- Representing Safeco Systems in a professional manner

**Requirements**:

- Experience in the security industry or relevant trade
- Fluent in English
- Must own basic hand tools for the required security system installations
- Must hold a valid BC Security Worker’s License ( under supervision is OK )
- Must hold a valid BC Driver’s License
- Basic knowledge of low voltage systems
- Basic networking knowledge ( Port forwarding, DHCP reservation, DDNS, etc )

Compensation:

- Base salary plus commission on up sales with basic medical coverage

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
