An Internal Operations Manager oversees procedures and develops strategies to optimize daily operations. Part of the job is to perform assessments and evaluations, set guidelines and objectives, manage and supervise staff, handle budgets, and delegate tasks amongst the team. It is also their duty to monitor the progress of procedures, and effectively resolving issues or conflicts that arise.
The Internal Operations Manager ensures the company runs efficiently by monitoring and improving the organization's operating procedures. Focused on customer centricity in evaluating and optimizing daily internal operations. Responsible for ensuring we are compliant in meeting the company's standard operating procedures and industry regulations.
This individual will be responsible for managing the Internal Operations team which includes procurement (invoicing and contract support), all ANC (at no charge) product placement and reconciliation, events management and oversight of material approval and distribution for Allergan Aesthetics Canada. This role reports to the Head of Communications and Internal Operations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assume the role of super-user of our SOPs as they relate to Procurement, ANC and Events to ensure we remain in compliance and look for efficiencies and appropriately challenge the status quo through the lens of the customer experience.
- Provide event support as it relates to contract negotiations, event management and reconciliation of budget.
- Oversee vendor management including Master Service Agreements (MSA) development, purchase orders and invoices in SAP and manage team specialist.
- Manage all ANC requests from the team, following the SOP requirements and documentation procedures.
- Support managers and team leaders with regular tracking reports and data pulls for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments on cross functional tasks and reporting on ongoing projects as it relates to Internal Operations.
- Onboarding new team members and completing and reviewing direct report annual reviews and development.

- Understanding of social media and event management tools used to send invitations and promote events
- Knowledge of event performance monitoring methods and the ability to create reports that guide future event planning
- Working independently to manage multiple projects, duties and assignments
- Collaborative style and enjoys working with cross functional internal partners
- Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Exceptional time management is essential
- Willingness to learn new functions and try new tasks as assigned
- Ability to take and process feedback constructively
- Customer Centric mindset (both internal and external) and ability to live AbbVie’s ways of working
**Qualifications**
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, business or healthcare
- Minimum 7 years work experience. Preferably in the pharmaceutical field
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
- Previous experience/exposure with ERP systems, preferably SAP in pharma/biotech/medical devices organizations.
