THE OPPORTUNITY
To perform all clerical and receptionist customer service duties, in the Health Records Department. Provides relief for Health Records Clerks, Transcription, Scanning, Indexing and Release of Information Clerk.

Job Requirements:
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office
- Medical terminology certificate
- Active member of Canadian Health Information Management Association
- Proven experience within a hospital related setting
- Two years’ experience in a similar capacity including knowledge of Health Information Professional and transcription services, Scanning and Indexing charts
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to prioritize and function effectively in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills to relate to a variety of different personalities
- Facilitation skills and work effectively as a team member
- Ability to organize own time and perform duties under mínimal supervision
- Demonstrates good problem solving skills
- Regular and punctual attendance is a requirement of this position
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.

**ASSETS**
- Bilingual English and French.

**HOURS OF WORK**

Permanent Part Time, scheduled up to 24 hours a week. Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE collective agreement.***

**SALARY**

Hourly rate of pay $23.57 - $26.10
