This position reports to the Mine Engineer.

What you will do:

- Professionally carry out duties following Nutrien safety principles and priorities
- Support all aspects of site safety systems, including the ASAP, OHC, and SIF
- Actively promote and engage in continuous improvement of Mine Operations & Maintenance Planning processes
- Work closely with the Mine Engineering and Mine Captain to ensure support is being provided to site in an efficient manner
- Install survey control stations underground according to mining layouts for the direction of future mining
- Perform survey projects related to construction projects and survey control accuracy
- Issue daily mine survey layouts showing survey station locations and mining design
- Monitor heat, dust, gas and diesel emission levels in the mine as required
- Install and record data from underground rock mechanics/ventilation instrumentation as requested by the Mine Engineer

What you will bring:

- Mining Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent or greater
- 1-5 years experience in a surveying or technician role would be an asset
- Comfortable navigating and utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word & Excel)
- Ability to work independently and is self-motivated to help drive positive improvement
- Underground mining experience would be an asset
- Experience with computer drafting programs would be an asset
