**Job Purpose**:
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Safe and effective operation of heavy equipment including rock trucks, excavators, compactors, skid steers and associated attachments
- Perform preventative maintenance, and daily operation checks
- Perform general labourer tasks as required
- Execute a variety of projects to the specifications of the customer, under the guidance of the site supervisor and project manager
- Effectively collaborates with crew and customer to ensure mutually agreeable outcomes and resolve any potential conflicts
- Acts independently with mínimal supervision
- Safely Work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation
- Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol
**Qualifications/Competencies**
- Direct experience in earthworks projects, oilfield waste management, pipeline integrity digs, demolition, reclamation/remediation, civil construction, and/or oilfield construction
- 3 years or 5,000 hours in Heavy Equipment Operation (Excavator, Dozer, Rock Truck etc.)
- Landfill construction experience is preferred
- Possession of a valid class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
- Valid Safety Tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSTS, Ground Disturbance) is desired
- Grade 12 or GED
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 8 to 9 hour days and occasional weekends
- Intermediate computer skills to successfully utilize intranet resources, complete online safety orientation, and HR onboarding tasks
- Physically fit, able to lift 50 pounds, and able to work on feet for long periods of time
- Can work well as a team member or independently with little direction
