Pasteurizer

**Cheese factory looking for a Pasteurizer operato**r.
**Night shift - 10 pm until 6:30 am.**
This position will operate the Milk Pasteurizer / Silo’s / Vat’s according to requirements of cheese making and separating Grass Fed milk for bulk ship out.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Care for HTST units and associated equipment like Silo’s and tanks
- Properly set up, sanitize / CIP and COP, maintain, operate and clean equipment
- Monitor product for efficiencies (i.e. composition, Quantity)
- Assist in preparation of cheese making
- Fill vats/silos according to formulations and complete necessary documentation
- Monitor related inventories to equipment (essential and spare parts, etc.)
- Accurately prepare assigned paperwork (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly assignments)
- Conduct preventative maintenance and cleaning (frequency as necessary)
- Monitor and perform routine checks of systems to ensure lines are running smoothly
- Cross-train to learn how to use equipment and machinery in various areas of the plant (Milk Receiving/Cheesemaking)
- Work with your personal safety and the safety of others in mind
- Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided
- All other duties as assigned
**Competencies and Qualifications**:
- Mathematical competency and reasoning ability
- Ability to be flexible in terms of shift work and perform other duties as required
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the job and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills, including written and verbal
- Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting abilities
