IT Technician

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and virtual private networks (VPN).
- Configure, install, and maintain computer hardware components.
- Monitor and manage firewalls to ensure network security.
- Utilize remedy ticketing systems to track issues and resolutions.
- Support Linux-based systems as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to implement IT projects and upgrades.
- Document processes, procedures, and solutions for future reference.

**Skills**
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of LAN and VPN configurations.
- Experience with computer networking concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of firewall configurations and security protocols.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- IT support: 1 year (required)
- Desktop support: 1 year (required)
- Laptop Maintainence: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- CompTIA A+ (required)
