What You’ll be Doing:
- Fulfill annual reporting requirements based on TMC Global Audit Department (GAD) reporting schedule- Support Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) internal audit requests and coordinate with TMC GAD for any SOx issue- Assist with TCI SOx compliance and certification processes- Support external auditors for interim and annual testing of Internal Controls- Assess and test controls for design adequacy, completeness and operating effectiveness-
- Provide input into the prioritization of financial control risk areas at TCI which will receive focus each year- Report findings to management in the business and Finance including possible fraud occurrences- Propose countermeasures to identified control gaps or ineffective controls noted during testing- Follow up and provide status updates to any remediation action plans to significant issues and internal control deficiencies identified- Ensure accurate reporting of internal and external financial data in accordance with IFRS- Verify compliance with company policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements- Guide business areas on controls-related issues where necessary- Assist the business in ensuring the effective implementation of controls- Provide external benchmarking insights to TCI’s control environment- Propose elimination of redundant or non-value add controls- Lead or support internal control projects and assignments- Initiate and implement appropriate 'kaizen' efforts which result in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improved time and process efficiencies- Standardize and share successes across the team or organization through 'yokoten' (shares best practices); continue to improve through kaizen
What You’ll Bring:
- University degree or college diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field- CPA (CA/CMA/CGA) designation- 3 + years progressive financial experience post designation- High level of business acumen; ability to link processes to the larger business context- Experience partnering with the business- Strong verbal and written communication- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Intermediate Excel skills- SOx compliance implementation or working experience is an asset- Financial systems and system controls experience in a non-integrated environment is an asset
