Barista/all Rounder

Overview:
We are currently seeking two part time Baristas to work at our Garden Center Cafe serving our clientel and assisting with sales in our indoor shop. The cafe will be open 9-2 March to November.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing customer service and preparing delicious beverages in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for coffee and enjoy creating memorable experiences for customers, we would love to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate espresso machines and other equipment to brew coffee and prepare ingredients
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and work area
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise

**Requirements**:

- Foodsafe level 1
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food handling procedures
- Ocasional plant watering (indoor and patio)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
