**Job Summary**:
The Supervisor, QC Chemistry Lab leads the Chemistry lab to develop, meet, and review all internal and external key performance indicators (KPI). The supervisor helps manage personnel in the laboratory, resolve conflicts, and manage the training program and ongoing improvements. The supervisor is responsible for these accountabilities while taking into consideration the company’s commitment to our seven core values such as Sustainability (people, planet, and profit), in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the areas of responsibility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with internal stakeholders and other staff on testing priorities.
- Monitor product release and associated turn-around-times (TAT).
- Participate in and oversee lab investigations, including out-of-specification (OOS) root cause analysis.
- Manage vendor material evaluation process and associated evaluations.
- Coordinate with other Quality staff to manage method development and process improvement activities.
- Contribute to capital expenditure justification and submission, and subsequent project work.
- Responsible for all aspects of talent management for reporting team members.
- Responsible for ensuring staff follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other work processes.

**Requirements**:
Technical
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or related discipline
- Minimum of five years in GMP analytical lab, with similar responsibility for KPI and personnel management
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Analytical instrumentation experience is an asset (e.g., HPLC, ICP)
- Strong problem identifying and solving capabilities
- Strong understanding of laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Must have Six Sigma yellow belt; Six Sigma green belt or higher is preferred
