**Summary**:
The RVWLIP Co-Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing and facilitating objectives of the LIP in Chestermere and Strathmore. They will work together with the RVWLIP Co-Coordinator in Airdrie, Cochrane, and region. They will also work with the CCIS LIP team lead, the Foothills LIP Coordinator, and the MHLIP Coordinator, and will be accountable to the Partnership Councils (or their Chair(s)).

**Description**:
The Rocky View Wheatland Local Immigration Partnership (RVWLIP) is a collaborative community initiative funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs):

- Systematize local engagement of service providers and other community organizations for welcoming and including newcomers in the community
- Support community-level research and strategic planning
- Improve coordination of effective services that facilitate immigrant settlement and integration

LIPs do not deliver services directly to newcomers, but facilitate a collaborative framework with community partners to ensure the development and implementation of successful and sustainable strategies to integrate newcomer/immigrant needs, build welcoming communities, support immigrant recruitment and retention, create active inclusion, and increase the sense of belonging of newcomers.

The RVWLIP Co-Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing and facilitating objectives of the LIP in Chestermere and Strathmore. **Responsibilities**:
- Engage stakeholders in Chestermere, Strathmore, and surrounding regions- Work with these stakeholders so that there is a better understanding of LIP
- Work together with service providers, community partners, employers, and immigrants in Chestermere and Strathmore to develop successful and sustainable strategies to:
- Integrate newcomer/immigrant needs-
- Build welcoming communities-
- Support immigrant recruitment and retention-
- Create active inclusion-
- Increase the sense of belonging of newcomers-
- Work with these stakeholders to create (as needed), revise and implement local action plans in these regions- Facilitate the implementation of the RVWLIP strategic plan and regional action plans together with current RVWLIP Co-Coordinator- Coordinate and facilitate meetings- Support the Councils and Working Groups- Participate in meetings/activities held by partner organizations to foster strong relationships with stakeholders- Conduct research about local needs of newcomers- Conduct program evaluations- Be informed of best practices

Qualifications:

- Education- University degree, or equivalent experience, in any people, public relations, business, communication, or cultural-focused discipline, including living abroad-
- Background and demonstrated evidence of recent work in community development and community engagement is essential- Experience- Proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders, maximizing collaboration and creative community solutions-
- Experience facilitating groups, processes, and community engagement-
- Experience in research, strategy development, communication plans, and marketing plans is an asset- Knowledge- Knowledge and understanding of issues related to the successful settlement of newcomers-
- Knowledge and understanding of communities in Rocky View is an asset- Abilities- Written and verbal communication skills-
