Community Programs Manager

Investing in Children is making our community stronger by providing opportunities for children to grow, learn and thrive. With programs focused on literacy and numeracy, proper nutrition, leadership, the nurturing of mental wellness, and other keys to future success; we are working with our partners to enrich the lives of thousands of children and their families in London and its surrounding counties.

Responsibilities include (but are not restricted to):

- Creation, development, implementation, and presentation of Family Literacy and Math Events
- Assist in the Special Olympics program, and the Blue Boxes for Books program
- Supervision of our HARK After School Programming
- Coordination of volunteers (including recruitment, screening, training, and scheduling)
- Preparing reports and collecting data for program funders
- Assisting other programs and staff members in the development and execution of the programs they are responsible for
- Must be available to work occasional evenings, specifically for Family Literacy and Math Events

Qualifications:

- Post secondary diploma in Early Childhood Education, or

Degree in Early Childhood Leadership, Education, or related experience
- Understanding of child development and literacy/numeracy acquisition
- Strong time management, organizational, and record keeping skills and capacities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional ability to work independently, consult appropriately, and work collaboratively with a team
- Advanced skills related to planning and priority setting
- Police screening for vulnerable sectors is required
- Vehicle is required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 22.5-37.5 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
