**Job Summary**

The Operations Representative II is a key resource on CRA requirements, compliance guidelines, tax reporting. The role will oversee all year-end functions, Class A Shares and System Authority. This role demonstrates a detailed understanding of associated policies, procedures, compliance, and regulatory requirements. With specialized knowledge of these functions, the role is the resident expert providing advice to the Employee Experience team, Delivery and corporate partners. The incumbent must be flexible and willing to work extended hours.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Reconcile and produce required government remittance on behalf of Meridian and motusbank to meet annual CRA deadlines and requirements
- Keep abreast of CRA regulatory changes assessing the need to create or update existing policy and procedures.
- Determine appropriate solution to errors or omissions using established policies, including regulatory requirements and appropriately escalate issues as required.
- Keep abreast of system changes and/or projects that may have a direct or indirect impact on Operation’s processes, including acting as a Subject
- Act as a key resource on CRA requirements, compliance guidelines and tax reporting overseeing all yearend tasks to ensure Meridian/motus meets all requirements.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize work and be flexible
- Increase the awareness and visibility of team process and policies through periodic communications to internal partners.
- Maintain a high level of communication within Operations and Delivery to deliver quality and meet regulatory and audit requirements
- Create a consistent and positive experience for our partners and ultimately our Members
- Effectively communicate bottleneck and pain points encountered in day to day work; continuously look for ways to do things better
- Support development of all Operations staff by providing training opportunities including on-going cross-training and knowledge transfer

**Education, Designations, Training, and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within the financial services industry.
- Solid product knowledge in one or more of the following areas and a strong ability to learn all aspects of Operations:

- Lending - mortgages, lines of credit and loans
- Investments - registered, non-registered, Class A Shares
- System Authority guidelines
- Year-end reporting - CRA deadlines, all reportable implications to the Government of Canada and Concentra
- FATCA, CRS

Solid knowledge of CRA regulations, compliance and internal audit. Required to keep well informed of all compliance changes and requirements as it pertains to CRA and internal audit.
