RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load and unload the dishwasher
- Wash specific items by hand
- Store and clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock
- Check washing machine operation and promptly repot and technical/performance issues
- Remove garbage regularly
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing the kitchen area, including the floor
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Work experience as a dishwasher/prep cook
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as need
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen (FoodSafe)
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- A team player with good communication skills
- In good physical condition and endurance
- Will train
