**Position Summary**

This position is a combination of Buyer, Expediter and provides some Technical Support in our National Parts Centre, a fast-paced internal order desk.

Responsibilities include ensuring a timely and accurate response to pricing and delivery requests to CIMCO staff across North America. This role also includes sourcing and purchasing products and dealing directly with vendors throughout North America. As well as providing some technical support to the National Parts Centre.

The work schedule for this position will be 09:30am - 5:30pm (Monday to Friday).

**Role Responsibilities**
- Checking material availability with SAP inventory system or from preferred vendors.
- Using standard industry resources to locate sources of information and parts
- Locating potential vendors, communicate with vendors, establishing relationships, and obtaining required information
- Issue Purchase orders to vendors. Expedite deliveries and track shipments as required.
- Resolving all inquiries, issues and technical part problems. Provide alternate solutions where applicable

**Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications**
- Mechanical aptitude or industrial/technical knowledge is considered a very strong asset
- Previous buying experience in an industrial environment
- Accuracy and attention to detail is imperative
- Self-motivated & autonomous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Above average communications skills required
- High school education required. Post-secondary education preferred
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- This is a full-time salaried position with shifts at various times between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and 11:00 am - 7:00 pm.
