Claims Administrator

**Reports to: Claims Manager**
**Shift: Day Shift**
**Responsibilities**:
- Call drivers at the scene of an accident, guiding them through the process
- Contact drivers to fill out the accident report, send photos, police and third-party information
- Start and maintain claim files
- Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities
- Update tracking schedule for repairs and appraisals
- Review logbooks, GPS and video footage for reported damages
- Liaison with repair shops, dispatch and accounting to assist in timely settlement of claims
- Arrange appraisals of equipment with insurance and preferred vendors
- Travel between Mississauga yards to obtain equipment photos for insurance purposes
- Prepare written communication pertaining to claim status whenever needed
- Obtain approval from Manager on claims above authority
- Manage claims in litigation, participate in mediations, pre-trials and settlement conferences
- Ability to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, legal counsel and regulators
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Claims Manager
- Other Safety related duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- 1 year verifiable experience handling claims within the logistics industry _(preferred)_
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to speak Hindi and/or Punjabi (an asset)

**Experience**:
- Trucking/Logistics industry: 1 year (preferred)
- Accident Claims processing/handling: 1 year (required)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
