Trans Mountain operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 300,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta and British Columbia, and 111 kilometres of pipeline in Washington state.

As a **Summer Student, Land and Right of Way** with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and fast-paced group of Land & Right of Way professionals.

**This position is based in our Burnaby office and reporting to Manager, Land Administration.**

**Duration: May 6, 2024, to August 30, 2024.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with updates to land and administration files including new data entry, identification of deficient data pertaining to properties, land use, easements, and other documents and information.
- Assist with the implementation of the File and Records Transfer Procedure.
- Undertake necessary research and data source retrieval including land title searches, corporate record searches and land interests on properties over which our pipeline systems operate.
- Assist with information research and analysis and file preparation in support of our land.
- Be able to source file information and provide information as requested by internal and external parties.
- Prepare and track information, analyze data, create PowerPoint presentations.
- Assist with other general administrative requirements including file management, document preparation and mailings.

**Qualifications and Professional Experience**
- Enrolled in one of the following field of studies: Business/Real Estate, Urban Planning, Political Science, Geography or Environment, preferably in 2nd or 3rd year of program.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- Some knowledge of ArcGIS, records management systems and data entry protocols would be an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple priorities.

**Other Requirements and Information**
- Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution and return to full time studies in the fall.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

**The expected pay range for this position is $20.86 to $27.44 CAD per hour.**
