Automotive & Heavy Duty Service Advisor

**This shift is from 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday. With on-call availability on a rotating basis with other team members including weekends. Further details will be provided.**

**Position Overview**:
**Our shop is busy, and adapting in a fast-paced team environment is a necessity. Our primary work is on these brands**:Freightliner, Western Star, International, Peterbilt, and Kenworth. (Cummins, Detroit, International, Paccar). Ford, GMC, Dodge, and Mercedes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Greet customers and assess their service needs.
- Invoicing and collecting payment from customers.
- Write up service orders and communicate necessary repairs to the service team.
- Provide accurate estimates of repair costs and timelines to customers.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of work orders.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers throughout the service process.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of automotive and heavy-duty vehicle systems is preferred.
- Proficiency with computers is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.

Pay: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

- If you are asked by a customer for information pertaining to their repair and you do not have the answer at the time of the question, how do you address their concern?
- A customer has expressed frustration with the cost of the repairs they have had completed and the lack of communication they have received during the repair. How do you address this and how could you have prevented this frustration in the first place?
- A customer has a large truck in the shop that has been worked on for the last 5 weeks due to parts availability as well as the large scope of work, how often would you communicate with the customer and is there anything different you should do in handling this large service repair work order?
