- You are required to work with mínimal supervision in all phases of the operation of a Multi-use Facility. The incumbent will be required to assess work priorities and carry out duties with mínimal supervision.Duties included but not limited to:
- Building/equipment maintenance, customer service and janitorial duties.
- Ice making and maintenance.
- Direct and coordinate part-time employees.
- Event set-up/conversions - Kitchener Auditorium Complex.
- Maintains sports fields in the summer, including cutting grass, line trimming, general litter clean-up.
- Requirements:
- Must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a minimum of 12 months experience working in an artificial ice arena.
- Must have a valid "G" class driver's license in good standing.
- Must have a valid TSSA Refrigeration Operator B certificate.
- Must successfully complete required progression criteria as it relates to this position (CUPE 68).
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts, WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, and overtime as required.
- Must have demonstrated communication skills with a customer service focus.
- Must be able to keep accurate records and logs for facility incidents and equipment.
- Must be prepared to be trained in the operation of all related equipment and work skills
- Must be a team player.
- Must be willing to attend mandatory staff training sessions and successfully pass the course requirements.
- Must have the ability to support and project values compatible with the organization.
- Must attend and successfully complete emergency first-aid training.
- Must have or be able to obtain computer competency in ActiveNet, Building Controls and Outlook, as well as basic Microsoft Office.
- Current Employees: Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
