We are seeking a highly skilled and tech-savvy Guidance Counselor to join our team at our online school. In this role, you will serve as a guidance counselor while also taking the lead in supporting our students, teachers, and parents in effectively navigating and utilizing the Moodle learning management system and other digital tools. Your technical knowledge combined with counseling expertise will be crucial in ensuring a seamless online learning experience for all stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare administrative and academic documents for students, such as report cards, diplomas, and verification of enrollment
- Maintain confidential student records, both digital and physical (OnSIS, OSR, OUAC)
- Facilitate conversations between administrators, teachers, and parents on students’ school performance and learning progress.
- Support teachers in effectively utilizing Moodle's features, e.g. assignment creation, grade tracking, discussion forums
- Train students, teachers, and parents in using Moodle and other digital tools, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the platform
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to Moodle, providing timely assistance and resolutions
- Administer placement assessments for new students to ensure they are placed in appropriate courses
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when contacting other schools

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (required)
- Familiarity with OUAC, OnSIS, Moodle, and the Ontario High School education system (preferred)
- Prior experience working with Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines as a school counselor, especially Growing Success is an asset (preferred)
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong computer literacy skills, including knowledge of digital communication tools, MS Office, Google Suite, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Technically inclined with a knack for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Speaking Mandarin would be an asset
