**Purpose of the Position**:
Reporting to the Director, Pan-Canadian AI Strategy, the Program Manager, AI & Society, will lead the management of the AI & Society program and its related activities, as part of the Pan-Canadian AI Strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide institutional support and guidance to CIFAR Solution Networks and their related activities
- Support and maintain relationships with network co-directors, and network members through attending meetings and other formal and informal network meetings
- Work with the Director, Pan-Canadian AI Strategy and Network leadership to develop and implement network engagement meetings and activities
- Help to build relationships with external stakeholders and partners to further impact of network activities
- Ensure efficacy of meetings; and work with staff to ensure that network meetings and interactions are planned and organized to success
- Support leadership to manage network budgets and help execute external funding agreements
- Manage the development and implementation of performance measurement and evaluation to ensure that impact is monitored and reported on in a timely manner for various internal and external stakeholders
- Support events, activities and initiatives under the AI & Society portfolio

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience required**:

- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3-5 years of recent related experience in a post-secondary, research agency or related research environment
- Research grants administration experience

**Core Professional/Technical Knowledge & Skills required for the position**:

- Skill to gather, organize, and synthesize large amounts of information
- Professional experience in program management in the academic or philanthropic sector
- Project management skills, knowledge, and expertise
- Well-developed writing and general communication skills
- Data management skills
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Independent and results-oriented as well as collaborative team-based approach to work
- Knowledge of academia and the research process, considered an asset

**Objectif du poste**

Relevant de la directrice de la Stratégie pancanadienne en matière d’IA, la ou le gestionnaire de programme, IA et société supervise la gestion du programme IA et société et les activités connexes tenues dans le cadre de la Stratégie pancanadienne en matière d’IA.

**Responsabilités**
- Soutenir et orienter, d’un point de vue institutionnel, les Réseaux de solutions du CIFAR et les activités connexes
- Favoriser et entretenir les relations avec les coresponsables et les membres des Réseaux en participant à des réunions et à d’autres rencontres formelles et informelles
- Organiser et tenir des réunions et des activités de mobilisation des membres en collaboration avec la directrice de la Stratégie pancanadienne en matière d’IA et les responsables des Réseaux
- Contribuer à tisser des relations avec les parties prenantes et les partenaires externes afin d’étendre la portée des activités des Réseaux
- Veiller, en collaboration avec l’équipe, à ce que les réunions et les interactions des Réseaux soient planifiées et organisées efficacement et à ce qu’elles se déroulent rondement
- Aider la direction à gérer les budgets des Réseaux et contribuer à la conclusion d’accords de financement externes
