**Lumenus is hiring an Office Administrator, Better Beginnings Now. **This position** **will be responsible for supporting the delivery of child and family centered planning and implementation of Parent Education and Parent/Child programs in the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
**Program Delivery**:

- Support the development and delivery of program/service
- Develop Parent Education and Parent/Child Programs
- Assist with set-up, clean-up, and general health and safety of t environment
- Assist with program outreach and promotion
- Assist with program registration and evaluation
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with program staff and program participants
- Participate in professional development.

**Administration**:

- Assist with planning and purchasing of nutritious food for program snacks
- Assist with maintaining program attendance
- Assist and participate in the completion of reports including evaluation/feedback and debriefing
- Participate in monthly team meetings
- Telephone Intake and Registration for all programs including screening for participant eligibility
- Maintenance of databases, client files, and all other office files
- Maintenance of wait lists and participant attendance lists
- Refer clients to community resource information.

**Education**:

- College diploma related to family and children services; and/or
- Experience working directly with young children and families; awareness of community resources

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 1 years of experience working with young children (aged birth to age 6) and their parents/caregivers in a community setting; or
- A minimum of 1 year experience with program development, implementation, and facilitation specifically in parenting and child development; or
- A minimum of 1 year experience working with families in a community setting
- Experience working with families from diverse ethno-cultural backgrounds

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults from diverse ethno-cultural backgrounds
- Ability to liaise with co-workers and community partners
- Flexibility and willingness to carry out tasks as needed
