**Reporting to the Head Chef, the General Kitchen Helper is responsible for**:

- Responsible for ensuring that all the flatware, pots, pans, and plate-ware are cleaned and sanitized
- Oversees stocking of all food and drink serving areas
- Clean and sanitize tables in eating areas as needed
- Assist with unpacking and organizing delivery of food/stock
- Washes pots, pans, and trays
- Sweeps and mops kitchen and dining room floors
- Washes worktables, walls, and refrigerators
- Removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers
- Cleans out garbage cans
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience helping in kitchen settings
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time
- The ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances, including a commercial dishwasher
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands and strong customer service focus in a 24/7 operation
- Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of attention to detail and able to maintain a positive attitude to coworkers
- Be able to work flexible shifts as needed; approximately 40 hours/week

**Emcon Services has the following conditions of employment: satisfactory drug pre-screening.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

Licence/Certification:
