The position is accountable for the coordination of all skills development training and Micro-credentials delivered to our 300 clients in the Advanced Leadership program. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating all training in partnership with all educational institutions, guest speakers, and third-party trainers, as well as ensuring clients’ successful competition of all skills training and micro-credentials.

The Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto (NEW) is an award-winning not-for-profit charity organization that was founded by a group of Latin American refugees in 1983 with a vision of strong women building strong communities. A multi-service agency with operations in four Toronto locations serving 6000+ Immigrants and Refugees annually. The agency was awarded a Non-profit Employer of Choice Award in 2020 The Canadian Non-profit Employer of ChoiceTM Awards (NEOC) recognizes organizations across Canada that have committed themselves to better business management practices to achieve their mission. With almost 40 years of operations, NEW has been providing settlement, employment, youth programs and services, as well as English language training for newcomers and immigrants. NEW also delivers special programs focused on immigrant women empowerment, leadership and skills development, and mentorship and career advancement for immigrant and refugee women.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review clients needs assessment and files to understand their skills gaps and recommend additional skills development training to bridge any skills gaps.
- Track clients’ progress through training and provide support when needed.
- Attend and contribute to internal client services meetings.
- Design the Advanced Leadership program calendar of all cohorts.
- Liaise with all educational partners, and attend all training sessions.
- Track participants attendance, progress and competition of all skills training.
- Provide the Program Manager with statistical reports on skills training and micro-credentials completion by students.
- Facilitate in-person workshops predominantly, and virtual workshops only when authorized by management, to clients while ensuring that the workshop atmosphere is conducive to learning and sharing while empowering them to reach their skills development training goals.
- Design workshops curriculum, review content ensuring accessibility to meet diverse learners needs, and evaluate workshops effectiveness using adult learning theories and methodologies
- Collect and track workshops and clients data and ensure client data is entered into the agency’s client management system. As well, assist with quarterly data analysis to track trends and to monitor progress in relation to targets.
- Provide one-on-one sessions with clients and give constructive feedback in a respectful and supportive manner.
- Submit monthly activity report to the Program Manager
- Submit By-weekly operational report to the Program Manager
- Other duties/tasks might be assigned by the Manager

TEAM CONTRIBUTIONS AND EXPECTATIONS
- Committed to the contribution toward program targets and outcomes as defined by the funders upholding organization’s mission/vision
- Participate in training of new staff, practicum students and volunteers as required
- Attend workshops and training as recommended by NEW
- Take an active role in the upkeep of staff areas and offices
- Participate on committees as needed

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- University degree in Education and/or Social Sciences
- Three years of experience working with adult education in a community service environment
- Knowledge of employment/community resources and current labour market trends
- Three years of experience in curriculum development, design and evaluation
- Demonstrated facilitation and inspirational skills as well as experience facilitation practices that empower participants to achieve their potential
- Experience in workshop design and implementation
- Sound knowledge of adult assessment, training techniques, sales presentations, customer marketing and marketing techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and awareness in order to interact with people from diverse background
- Possess patience, sensitivity and mature judgment including managing confidentiality
- Well developed communication (written and verbal), creative problem-solving skills
