We are looking for one person to do call-in for our cooks and janitor.

**Call in Cook**
- Ø _Prepares quality snacks, lunches, and baking for the centre. (chopping, slicing, stirring, carrying trays/ muffin tins, lifting bags/ boxes 5-15 pounds etc while in a standing position)
- Ø _Delivers snack to classrooms on a cart, down a hallway. (Walking maximum of 85 steps each way)
- Ø _Cleans dishes by unloading carts from the classroom into the dishwasher. (Bending over) Unloads dishwasher and puts dishes away. (Bending over) Cleans dishes in a three-compartment sink. (standing)
- Ø _Knowledge of legislation as it pertains to Food and Nutrition Standards, food safety regulations, fire inspection, and Health and Safety.
- Ø _Maintains accurate, timely, and complete records for menus, temperatures, controls, child allergies, etc.
- Ø _ Works as a member of a professional team by creating partnerships with colleagues and volunteers, participating in centre meetings, and following policies and procedures.
- Ø_ Assists to ensure the overall health and safety of children enrolled in the program by maintaining a sanitary and safe, organized environment and preparing meals within safe food preparation guidelines.
- Ø_ Communicates effectively with co-workers, children, and parents
- Ø_ Proactive, organized, flexible, patient, professional, prompt, and reliable attendance at work

**Call in Janitor**
- Ø _Cleans and cares for the facility and equipment of the Centre.
- Ø_ Ensures that the centre is maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.
- Ø _Maintains a current understanding of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment
- Ø _Employs safe handling and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment in keeping with current standards.
- Ø_ Performs work at heights up to 12 feet using ladders for the purpose of cleaning, changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, etc
- Ø_ Works under limited supervision.
- Ø _Has the ability to lift/carry as required (up to 20 kgs)
- Ø_ Knowledge of the goals, objectives and operations of The Family Centre and interacts with professionalism with children, parents, and staff when required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $16.40 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call

Work Location: One location
