We have established and maintained great working relationships with various community supports, such as the staff at each school and the school board, as well as The District Municipality of Muskoka for their Assessment for Quality Improvement checks, Community Living, Simcoe Muskoka Family Connections, HANDS the Family Help Network, and the Ministry of Education. We are looking for hard-working, dependable, caring individuals who strive for excellence and aim to exceed expectations._

**Description**

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Give priority to the developmental needs and interests of each child in care, as well as their specific medical, emotional and health needs.
- The person selected for this position must have had sufficient experience working with young children and be able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency.
- Engage with children throughout the day and can engage with children in different times of the daily schedule like mealtime, circle, outdoor activity etc.
- Housekeeping duties as required to maintain program - cleaning the room (sweeping and vacuuming), disinfecting toys and washrooms, setting up and putting away of lunchroom and sleep room, setting up different play centers.
- Communicate appropriately with staff and parents

**Qualifications**
- Hold a valid First Aid and Level C CPR Certificate which is to be obtained on their own time.
- Complete a Vulnerable Sector Check (police check) via OPP
- Proof of immunizations
- This person must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate to both children and adults.

**Application Requirements**

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 3-4 months

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
