**The Opportunity**

As Membership Sales & Services Staff you play an integral role in ensuring programming excellence through provision of a positive, inclusive, and meaningful Y experience that enhances participant achievement of a healthy lifestyle and healthy communities. Reporting to the Program Director of the Community YMCA, this role is integral to ensure the first point of contact is positive and welcoming for visitors, clients, and program participants.

Flexibility to work irregular hours are required, such as evenings, weekends, holidays etc.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide introductions and information to members and participants on comprehensive programming options in supporting the achievements of individual wellness goals and community engagement.
- Ensure file maintenance of all members, and following all safety requirements, industry standards, staff certification and child safeguarding processes in support of provision of safe environment for all participants, visitors, staff, and volunteers.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive atmosphere in internal/external dealings and communications in support of program delivery.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- 1-2 years' experience in Customer Service, Hospitality, Member Relations and/or Sales
- Strong customer service/sales skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish rapport with clients
- Experience using Active Net System and multi-line phone system considered an asset
- Bilingual in French, Arabic, etc. considered an asset
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

**Conditions of Employment**
- Clear Child Abuse Register Check
- Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (must be dated less than 6 months from hire date)
- Completion of YMCA’s Child Safety & Protection Orientation within first week of employment
- Completion of YMCA Child Safeguarding Training within probationary period
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate if required for the role
