**About VC Ultimate**

**Objective**

Work with a team of production and design experts to create technical artwork for sports apparel. The primary aspects of this role are:

- Generate 100% accurate proofs for various apparel products.
- Prepare perfect print files for production based on supplied artwork.
- Master VC’s artwork standards to ensure the best result for both production and our customers.
- Operate and maintain large-format printers, and prepare printed papers for pressing.

**Term & Renumerations**
- Part-time contract position based in-office at VC Ultimate headquarters in Toronto, although shifts at our Scarborough production facility may be periodically required.
- Anticipated weekly hours: 16-24/week, based on volume of work. Opportunity to work full time 40+ hours per week May-June.
- Compensation: $20-22/hour based on experience. Hourly rate review requests based on experience considered after 30-day trial period.

**Reports to**:This position collaborates with VC’s Lead Technical Designer and in tandem with our Production & Quality Control Coordinator.

**Responsibilities**

**Technical Design**
- Prepare technical files for various print process, including embroidery, screen print, spot sublimation, and full sublimation.
- Work with artwork prepared by customers or VC’s creative designers to optimize results.
- Ensure artwork meets VC’s technical standards and troubleshoot any potential issues with supplied artwork before production.
- Meet deadlines for assigned jobs on VC’s internal design board.

**Sublimation Printing**
- Operate large format sublimation printers and prepare papers for in-house production.
- Trim papers and organize prints based on job requirements.
- Conduct weekly maintenance of printers to uphold print quality standards.

**Technical Qualifications**
- Expert in Adobe Illustrator required.
- Competency in Adobe Photoshop an asset.
- Professional graphic design experience with print experience.
- Must be fluent in English (written and oral).
- Able to lift and maneuver rolls of paper 64” wide and weighing up to 55lbs.
- On-site job training provided for the entire scope of work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing varying deadlines with mínimal supervision.
- Proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- Ability to see how one’s work, and the work of the team around them, its together with the big picture goal of producing the best products possible, on time.
- Extreme attention to detail is mandatory.

Please note that due to the nature of the role, personal phones are not allowed at workstations. Speakers are available to play music, and team members are welcome to have their ringers on to be reachable in case of emergencies.

Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
