**Before and After School Worker**

**COMMENCING**: As soon as can be arranged
**COMPENSATION**:$16.54 per hour
**HOURS**:4 hours per day (1.5 hours before school, 2.5 hours after school, as scheduled). Consideration may be given to divide this position.
- **JOB SUMMARY**:
A Before and After School Worker’s primary duties include:
- Assuring the supervision and care of children before the start of school and at the end of the school day.
- Implementing age-appropriate activities and programs for students.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Grade 12 diploma or relevant education is preferred.
- First Aid and CPR training completed within six weeks of hire.
- Experience working with children in relevant settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret situations accurately and act accordingly.
- Positive attitude, outlook, and work ethic.
- Ability to develop good relationships with students on a one-to-one basis and in groups.
- Ability to support students to problem solve and work through issues.
- Good organizational skills and ability to follow directions.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
- Respect In School or equivalent training is required.
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search & Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry.
