The **Account Director** is an influential, authentic, and strategic leader. They oversee client projects and ensures deliverables are completed in an efficient manner on time and on budget. They champion the overall client relationship on their accounts and promote cross-functional team collaboration to deliver and surpass results. The individual in this role continuously looks for ways to add strategic value and lead our clients. This position provides an opportunity to demonstrate strong leadership skills, coupled with a larger scope of responsibility and a need for a strategic mindset.
**Position Responsibilities**
- Effectively manage client relationship and align agency resources to deliver results
- Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
- Lead project development from conceptualization through to post-mortem analysis ensuring a smooth production and rollout
- Provide leadership in guiding internal teams to meet client goals, ensuring that brand strategy and objectives are met
- Work with the Group Account Director/VP, Client Services to further expand the business and provide proactive thinking to the client
- Partner with the Group Account Director/VP, Client Services to lead the development of
strategic plans and solutions to build brand equity and deliver results for the client
- Demonstrate confidence and authority as the day-to-day voice of the account team
- Oversee the financial aspects of the programs and account(s)
- Lead, guide, develop, mentor, and coach account team members, ensuring they are challenged and developing their skill sets
- Collaborate and partner with creative teams and strategic planners to create
work that always exceeds client expectations and continually raises our own bar
- Deliver on revenue growth goals established in conjunction with senior management
- Ensure account team members are challenged and developing their skill sets
**Desired Skills and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or Advertising
- Minimum 8 years of experience in management in a marketing communication
agency or a related business
- Ability to develop and implement strategic concepts
- A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
- Previous responsibility directly managing people, including career
- and team-development experience
- Ability to delegate effectively
- Proven track record leading all types of deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of marketing and business principles
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- High standard of professionalism and business ethics
