**What we are looking for?**
- Must have an approved and valid **BCCSA Traffic Control Certification**:

- **A valid BC Class 5 License and clean driver’s abstract**:

- **3 years experience doing LCT**:

- Ability to effectively communicate with drivers and operators
- General construction site and flagging knowledge
- Personal transportation to commute to site
- **Drug Test is required for this project**

**As Lane Closure Technician you are expected to**:

- Consider Safety a number one priority
- Ensuring the safety of the work crew and the public by controlling the flow of traffic through work zones. Directing motorists and pedestrian traffic (Stop, Slow and redirecting traffic)
- Protect workers by keeping work space free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
- Assist in accessing and exiting work sites and reporting to questions
- Assist with set up, maintenance and removal of project equipment such as signage, cones, tripods, barrels and barricades to ensure work zone are controlled and safe
- Review and inspect traffic control equipment and traffic management plans
- Care and custody of company vehicle and ensuring good working condition of the car by conducting daily inspections
- Setting up and providing traffic control specifications
- Training other site workers about traffic and equipment safety
- Performing other related duties as required
- Capable in communicating effectively with other members of the traffic control team, work crew and public
- Monitor day to day changes
