**What you will do**:
We are hiring an **Electrical Systems Lead** who will be responsible to support the development and management of assigned Electrical and LV project work during all phases, from inception through planning, design, and construction, in accordance with the project scope, schedule, and budget. This role ensures that all electrical work complies with safety regulations, project specifications, and timelines of the project.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the architectural design team, participate in conceptual design meetings to provide input related to building systems, schematics, equipment selection and their impact to the design;
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other construction teams to align electrical work with overall project plans, develop scopes of work and establish project requirements;
- Provide technical advice and troubleshooting support to team members and other stakeholders.
- Participate in the design and review of IT systems including but not limited to communication systems, AV systems, security access, nurse call and monitoring systems equipment
- Work with the Procurement team to develop specifications, and at times working directly with vendors;
- Support the management of company inventory of electrical materials and equipment for projects;
- Write and/or review documents for functional testing of building systems as part of T-120 and oversee the third-party testers;
- Liaise with regulatory groups to support design and building openings;
- Trouble-shoot inter-related issues on construction sites;
- Conduct site investigations and support project teams during building construction;
- Communicate project updates, issues, and progress to senior management;
- Work with the owner to support building operations during the warranty period;
- Strive to ensure quality and timely delivery of finished products.

**Your experience & abilities**
- Post-secondary education in Electrical or other relevant discipline such as Building Systems;
- 5+ years of engineering and/or design co-ordination experience in the consulting industry, specifically working on commercial projects, or in a role similar;
- Computer literacy including working skills in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software;
- Able to write electrical and associated equipment scope of work;
- Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management;
- High attention to detail when reviewing construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe PDF files, etc;
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines with the ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of applicable Canadian regulatory standards and codes;
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including executives;
- Must have a strong working knowledge of systems such as Electrical Distribution, Generators, Building Controls, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Card Access and Nurse Calling Stations;
- Basic understanding of all phases of building construction;
- Experience in site investigations and construction review;
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with trade partners and team members;
- Ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently;
- Comfortable traveling as required;
- Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible;
- High level of sound independent judgment and reasoning;
- Must possess valid driver’s license.
