J**ob Overview**:
We strive for positive team efforts with lessened competitive environment among staff; hence we have a debit tip pool,

in place; to ensure all working staff are compensated well for their efforts. (Cash tips excluded from pool)

**Duties**:

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with customer needs
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers' needs and preferences to make recommendations
- Check customers' identification and confirm legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Wipe down bar counters and tabletops, and high traffic surfaces; & patio tables
- Restock juices into fridge at start of shift
- Prepare garnishes & condiments
- Prepare house cocktails (Recipes provided)
- Empty garbage receptacles from active areas
- Replenish papers: Paper towel, toilet paper, etc.
- Occasional mopping or sweeping may be required if needed
- Use dishwasher to clean bar tools and glassware items
- Upkeep work areas (bar drawers, storage shelves, displays)
- Set up tableware / decor if required
- Sanitizing cleaning cloths at end of shift
- Update grocery / supplies restock list on white board

**Skills Required**:

- Current Smart Serve
- 1+ years experience bartending in a bar, lounge, chain restaurant, or night club environment

(Experience in a Caribbean-style establishment an asset)
- Experience in cash handling and cashiering
- Knowledge of food safety practices in the food industry
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality
- Proficiency in bartending techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers
- A co-operative team player
- All black clothing for the uniform (a vest is provided)
- Available for weekend evening / night shifts after 8pm (Fridays, Saturdays, some Sundays)
- Able to repost our events on social media (IG / Tik Tok)
- Send us your best social media page (Don’t worry, we only assess your ability to promote / repost our events)
- You do not have any Bartending / Server experience
- You are an active gig worker, as weekend availability is required
- You are not available for weekend shifts (Should be available for at least 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, &/or 2 Sundays a month)
- You are unable to work late nights (night shifts start after 8pm, typically end around 3:30am -4am)
- You do not have reliable transportation

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.50-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 20 per week
