We are looking for an educator to join our Out of School Care program Looking for an individual that loves to get engaged and partake in learning through play to expand the minds of the children in our care
.Open Monday to Friday 6:30am-6:00pm. Care provided before school, after school, PD days, school breaks, and summer. Transport children to and from school via walking and 15 passenger van. Position entails providing care to children in kindergarten to grade 6 care at our program, as well as transporting the children to/from school.
During the summer we move into camps spending as much time outside as possible Field trips, parks, and on-site activities to have one fun filled summer
Working with ages 5-12 years old in a 43 child capacity program.
Located in Auburn Bay, SE Calgary.
**Shift hours**:
Monday to Friday 12:00pm-6:00pm or as requested by centre Director.
Non school days (PD days, school breaks, summer): nine hour shift with a one hour break during operating hours.
**What You Need**:
- Early Childhood Education Level 2 or 3 preferred (OSC program that requires the certification at this time, if currently in school for level 2/3 please contact us)

Kids' Stop has been operating for over 15 years in the Foothills area. This location is in SE Calgary and cares for children aged 5 to 12 years old. We believe that our services have a tremendous impact on the lives of the families we serve. Our educators have a great responsibility to provide a service that offers the most caring, nurturing, educational, and fun atmosphere possible while maintaining a safe, respectful, and guided environment.
We believe that the centre is an extension of the family and therefore we wish to work closely with the parents/guardians by means of discussions, meetings, and other communicative ways to promote positive relationships and development for both the child and parent/guardian.
Our goal is to stimulate the children with play and social interactions that contribute to their emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development. As well as encourage the creativity within each child. Our educators accomplish this by maintaining a 50% teacher led and 50% child led program that takes into account the different development, multiculturalism, abilities and needs of each child which enables us to encourage, enhance, guide, and address them positively and consistently. Kids' Stop's overall objective is to promote optimal development by allowing for equal opportunity for open child choice and educator directed activities where children are able to try new activities that they wouldn’t otherwise try on their own.
