**About Bench Brewing**:
Bench Brewing is an experiential craft brewery located in the world-renowned wine region of Niagara, Ontario. Surrounded by Ontario’s finest agricultural land, our location provides the ideal setting for crafting great, approachable beers that reflect our local terroir.

The Bench Brewing campus sits across eight beautiful acres and features a 50hL brewing system, a tap and tasting room, a beer garden, a ‘funk house’ for our wild ale and barrel fermentation program, and our very own hops field. Our brewery is a place for our guests to relax, learn, and experience the craft of brewing beer.

Bench is a certified B Corporation and strives to be a leader in sustainability, having achieved a zero-wastewater footprint and Carbon Neutral certification by Radicle Climate Smart.

**The Role**:
**Responsibilities**

**Brewhouse Operations**
- Produce quality wort to recipe specifications
- Follow SOPs for operation, basic maintenance, and cleaning

**Cellar Operations**
- CIPs for FV, BBT, yeast brinks, clarification equipment etc.
- Yeast harvesting & pitching
- Secondary additions
- Operation of centrifuge and filters

**Funk & Innovation**
- Support funk cellars & barrel room operations

**Safety**
- Follow all safety protocols, participate in all safety trainings
- Wear PPE
- Report safety hazards

**Quality**
- Participate in daily sensory panel
- Follow protocols to ensure a high level of quality from raw materials to finished products

**Cleaning & Sanitation**
- Keep brewery in a tour-ready state

**Sustainability**
- Follow protocols for side-streaming and reducing water usage

**Brand Ambassadorship**
- Be a positive role model for Bench
- Share knowledge about brewery & Bench beers

Future training of other brewers (timing based on applicant experience)

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education, preference for degrees in science/engineering/brewing or other beverage alcohol
- Hands-on craft and/or commercial production brewery experience is an asset
- Demonstrated passion for and interest in beer and brewing
- Dedication to quality and safety
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change
- Team player with positive attitude
- Willing to work shifts
