**Your mission**:
**_ Ready to transform our water management practices ?_**
Under the leadership of the Chief of Metallurgy and Development, the Water Management Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and compliance of the water management systems at the Whabouchi mine. Working closely with the environmental team, you will ensure environmental protection, adherence to regulatory standards, and the optimization of practices related to water use, treatment, and management on-site.
Benefit from a **14-14 fly-in fly-out schedule**: 14 days working on-site followed by 14 full days off to relax and enjoy your time at home.
**Your Day-to-Day**:
- ** Supervision of Operations**:
- Manage water treatment activities on-site.
- Ensure effective management of surface water catchment basins and pumping stations.
- Monitor and analyze water quality parameters to ensure environmental compliance.
- ** Planning and Optimization**:
- Develop and implement sustainable water resource use and management plans.
- Monitor the maintenance plan for water treatment facilities.
- Oversee the procurement of spare parts.
- Build relationships with suppliers and engineering firms.
- ** Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental commitments.
- Prepare environmental monitoring reports and assist with audits.
- ** Interdisciplinary Collaboration**:
- Work with the operations and environmental teams to address water-related issues.
- Train and raise awareness among teams about best practices in water management.
**Your qualifications**:
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Resource Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in water management, preferably in a mining or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of Quebec and Canadian water management regulations.
- Actively promote values of health and safety, ethics, diversity, and inclusion.
