**About Us**:
Law Enforcement and Oversight Branch

**Role**:
As the Research and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting research, providing syntheses and recommendations to the senior analysts on topics related to community safety and specialized policing. This position will also support the coordination of multiple cross-ministerial and cross-jurisdictional activities to ensure effective, efficient, and specialized supports for the unit's activities.

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

- Leading research initiatives to gather, analyze and synthesize information relevant to community safety and specialized policing activities.
- Organizing and contribute to policy/program activities related to Integrated Offender Management, Police Advisory Committees, and other provincial and federal legislation, policies, programs, and initiatives impacting police agencies.
- Coordinating contractual, legal and financial activities with ministry contacts and external stakeholders (i.e. law enforcement agencies) Participating in special projects that enhance the unit's mandate to support law enforcement agencies in delivering evidence-informed interventions and increase community safety.In this position you will be responsible for identifying the issues of duplication, gaps, and inefficiencies arising from research and coordination activities. You must also be able to identify potential solutions to issues identified during your day-to-day activities.

**Qualifications**:
A two-year diploma in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Information Technology or a related field is required; or equivalent as described below.

Familiarity with the Canadian Justice System is also required for this position.

- Experience conducting research, providing analytical support and coordination;
- Familiarity with basic research methods and statistical analysis;
- Experience working with others in a group/team setting.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
1 year of education for 1 year of experience; OR 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

$ 2,133.27 to $2,773.10 bi-weekly ($55,678- $72,378 per year)

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours a week.
