**Job Overview**:

- Coordinates and conducts initial onboarding to new employees.
- Conducts orientation to new employees.
- Scheduling/vacation management and planning.
- Assists with coordinating compensation and benefits.
- Assists with preparing, conducting, and documenting performance reviews.
- Prepares, processes, and maintains HR related paperwork accurately, efficiently, and confidentially, including HR reports, statistics, and changes to employee information.
- Data entry and performing other administrative duties across various HR functions.
- Aids in the development and maintenance of internal policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Acts as a point of contact for employees on all HR related matters, including the understanding of HR policies.
- Assists in training and development opportunities, resources, programs, and tools to support employees.
- Provide consultative services to identify causes of employee relations issues, create solutions, and facilitate implementation of action plans.
- Assist senior management with HR tasks as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Certificate or diploma in HR-related field from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an HR role or administrative management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Clear demonstration of strong judgment, coaching, influencing, and problem-solving.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of Canadian & Manitoba labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Experience working with highly sensitive material in a confidential and professional manner.
- Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook), and qualitative and quantitative data software.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- French is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks.
- Experience working with Indigenous peoples or representative organizations.
- Ability to communicate in Indigenous language(s) and/or previous exposure to Indigenous communities and cultures is considered an asset.

**Position Details**:

- Location: In-person at our Downtown Winnipeg office.
- Hours: Part-time (20 hours per week).
- Compensation: $20-25 per hour (remuneration commensurate with education and/or experience).
- Proposed Start Date: Negotiable.
