**POSITION**:SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (ADULT) - Temporary Full Time - 1 year (minimum)

The Speech Language Pathologist provides clinical assessment and treatment services to adult patients with suspected communication and swallowing disorders in accordance to the Standards of Practice and Ethics of the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
Works across the continuum of care (acute, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation through the Day Hospital program).
Observes the Code of Ethics of the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
**JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and Experience**:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology
- Current unrestricted registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Experience in communication disorders involving voice, congenital, acquired or progressive neurological disorders and swallowing
- Experience in assessment and management of swallowing disorders; must be able to perform bedside swallowing assessments
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Experience conducting and interpreting videofluoroscopic swallowing studies
- Minimum 1-year clinical experience with video fluoroscopy
**Assets**:
- Experience across continuum of care (acute - rehab)
- Experience with augmentative/alternative communication systems
- Experience with performing bedside swallowing assessments
- Demonstrates proficiency working in an interdisciplinary team setting
- Demonstrates initiative, self-direction, flexibility, organization, leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must provide own transportation and be willing to travel to provide service
**Salary Range**: $44.67 - $57.90 per hour
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
